The Dr. Seuss Foundation was founded by celebrated children's author and illustrator Ted Geisel aka Dr. Seuss. It has granted out over $300 million to charities since its inception in 1958. The Foundation focuses on funding improved literacy that introduces new skills and knowledge in the multi-layered worlds of the arts and humanities, health and well-being, animal welfare, and the environment.
