Dahua Paper Company Nigeria Limited is located in Owiwi, Ogun State, Nigeria, covers an area of about 170,000 square meters. Dahua Paper has a paper mill, a power plant and a sewage treatment plant. In addition, the company has a carton factory covers an area of 56,000 square meters. The phase I production line has a daily output of 250 tons and an annual capacity of 80,000 tons, which can produce corrugated cardboard box paper. In addition, the plant is equipped with high-precision calendering machine and cutting machine etc. Phase II production line has an annual output capacity of 150,000 tons of base paper and is expected to be formally put into operation in early 2022. The two production lines can produce more than 250,000 tons of base paper with an annual output value of over 300 million USD. The other two carton factories can produce more than 30 million cartons per month with an annual output value of over 150 million USD. Dahua Paper focuses on the Nigerian packaging paper market, which has an annual demand about 700,000 tons. Nigerian packaging paper market space is large and has a huge potential with the rapid industrial development. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, the construction of phase II production line has been delayed, which caused the entire base paper market in short supply in Nigeria. The production capacity of various kinds of packaging paper will be greatly improved upon completion of the Phase II production line, which will meet the Nigerian market demand. At present, Dahua Paper’s base paper production capacity occupies about 50% market shares, and carton plants production capacity occupy about 40% market shares in Nigeria, with two carton plants producing more than 1 million cartons per day. Dahua Paper has invested more than 200 million USD in the paper manufacturing space in Nigeria, the company has a Chinese management and technical team of about 120 people, and a total of about 1200 local employees.
