Overview

The Columbus Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization working to maintain and enhance the heart of the Upper West Side for residents, merchants, and visitors alike. As a coalition of property-owners, tenants, and city officials, we enact major streetscape improvements, provide security, sanitation, tourist, and retail services, and hold public events. Notable among them is our annual weekend-long fundraiser, Taste of the Upper West Side. In addition to the American Museum of Natural History, the Rose Center for Earth & Space, Theodore Roosevelt Park, and the New-York Historical Society, the Landmarked, tree-lined Avenue is home to a continuous stretch of diverse shops and restaurants for all budgets. Whether you are coming from Lincoln Center to the South, Central Park to the East, or one of our Museums, you will not want to miss a visit to Columbus Avenue!
