Chicago Children's Advocacy Center

Individual and Family Services

Overview

Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC) and our public partners are the front-line responders in Chicago to reports of child sexual abuse, as well as reports of child physical abuse, witness to violence, risk of harm, and sex trafficking. ChicagoCAC is the city’s only not-for-profit organization that coordinates the efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement professionals, family advocates, medical experts and mental health clinicians under one roof. Our staff arranges a family’s visit to the center, conducts forensic interviews, and provides family advocacy and mental health services aimed at reducing trauma so that children and families may begin the healing process. All of our services are free of charge to every client. Since opening in 2001, we have served more than 45,000 children and their families. ChicagoCAC is among the largest of more than 900 CACs nationwide and is one of only a few at which all partner agencies are co-located. For open positions, check https://bit.ly/chicacwork.
