Overview

The ritual of brewing a pot of tea, is like practicing mindfulness or like a brief meditation. The process requires thoughtful actions, but it also forces us to take a few moments - to slow down, reflect, and give a little perspective, on our needlessly intense contemporary lifestyle and appreciate beauty, in the smallest of things. The mindful act of brewing tea, is a ritual that we feel is truly undervalued, our technological advanced societies have disconnected us from the rituals, that were once part of our everyday lives- something we crave, without even knowing. These rituals, are not only beneficial to us individually; socially they are just as important. Common ground, is necessary for humans to relate, connect and form communities, and tea can offer us that- as it has been doing for thousands of years. Our goal now, is to take tea to the next level. Although tea, is the most consumed beverage in the world- only second to water- it is often an afterthought and totally misunderstood, by consumers and many the hospitality industry. As tea professionals, it is our role to educate our partners and our customers, while being as transparent as possible, when it comes to origin and process. Making these premium teas, is an art form and hopefully, by giving these teas the value and status they deserve, we can work together to create a sustainable industry for everyone involved, and help to preserve this art form for generations to come.
