Overview

Created in 1967 (Decree 61,419 of 2/10/67) and established in the Kenyan capital in 1968, the Embassy of Brazil in Nairobi represents the interests of Brazil to Kenya, as well as Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Somalia. In parallel, the Embassy represents Brazil to regional and international organizations present in the five countries under its jurisdiction, in particular agencies and programs of the United Nations, such as UNEP (Environment) and UN-Habitat (Human Settlements) both based in the Kenyan capital. The functions of consular representation to Brazilian individuals (citizens and companies) in these countries are also executed by the Embassy in Nairobi, through its Consular Section. Foreigners traveling to Brazil or with interests in our country are also attended by the Embassy's Consular Section. brasemb.nairobi@itamaraty.gov.br
