انشئت جمعية عون التقنية بموافقة وزارية بتاريخ: 1438/9/2هــ، وبترخيص رقم (1016)، لتكون أول جمعية تقنية تساهم في تطوير منظمات القطاع الثالث تقنيا في منطقة مكة المكرمة Awontech was established with ministerial approval on 2/9/1438H, and with license number (1016), to be the first technology society contributing to the technological development of non-profit sector organizations in Makkah.
