The A. P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI) is the foremost ornithological research institute in West Africa situated in Laminga, Jos-East LGA, Plateau State, Nigeria. It is dedicated to ornithological research and capacity building in West Africa. The Institute was set up in 2001 by the Tasso Leventis Conservation Foundation, which remains the Institute’s principal source of funding. Research is carried out at APLORI by research staff and collaborators from other institutes. Our core functions are; 1. Capacity building for conservation biology in west Africa. 2.APLORI Education- Masters in conservation Biology.
