Overview
Amate House is a year of intensive leadership development in Chicago. Our fellows are young adults ages 21-29 who commit to living in intentional community and serving under-resourced communities in Chicago through full time community service. Fellows are asked to engage thoughtfully throughout their experience with the Amate House tenets of community, social justice, stewardship, faith, and service. With a network of over fifty Chicago area non-profits, Amate House works diligently to place fellows in professional jobs geared toward their skills and interests, including positions at legal aid centers, low-income community health clinics, inner-city schools, parishes, and social service organizations.
