Overview

The Allied Beauty Association (ABA) is a registered not-for-profit Canadian organization that represents more than 90% of the Canadian professional beauty supply industry with respect to hair, nails and aesthetics. It is a trade association of manufacturers and distributors of professional beauty products and equipment for the use of beauty salons and spas. The ABA was formed in 1934 and incorporated in 1957. From its original membership of three Canadian manufacturers and two distributors, it has since grown to include more than 265 corporate members and over 15,000 beauty professional subscribers. Our Mandate The ABA’s mandate is to provide support for its members, monitor industry standards and encourage goodwill, mutual respect and understanding between its members and the public. Additionally, the ABA’s role is to liaise between the beauty professionals and the government at federal, provincial and municipal levels.
