Aldo Coppola is a family business that was established in 1966, founded on the creative and artistic talent of Aldo Coppola, a true innovator in the world of hair. In 1986, the vision of his son, Aldo Coppola Jr., brought a new business philosophy, with the opening of direct Ateliers, the start of a franchise network, the creation of a freelancers’ agency, the inauguration of the Academy and the distribution of Aldo Coppola products. The heart of the brand are the Aldo Coppola Ateliers. The salons are located in Milan, Rome, Florence, Forte dei Marmi, Porto Cervo and Lugano. The Aldo Coppola chain of franchisees has more than 80 salons, named “Aldo Coppola by”, located mainly in Italy (55 salons), followed by Russia (18 salons), Qatar (3 salons), Kazakhstan and the UAE. The training of Aldo Coppola staff takes place at the Aldo Coppola Academy, a place where all the techniques are developed and all the branded products are tested for use. While developing new hairstyling techniques, the brand also focuses on creating new products: Aldo Coppola and Shatush. The name Shatush was used for the first time in 1991 to describe a colouring technique that recreates the natural effect of hair lightened by the sun. The first Shatush product line was then launched in 2001, based on the idea of sustainable beauty, strong professional experience and certified, leading-edge cosmetics. In 2022, Shatush was also presented as a new franchise formula focusing on beauty innovation and design. Another brand is part of the family: Go Coppola. Founded in 2007, it is the pret-à-porter version of Aldo Coppola. The brand today has more than 40 franchising hair salons in Italy and 2 in Russia. All the communication, PR, events and out-of-salon services are handled by the Aldo Coppola Agency. Today Aldo Coppola is a benchmark brand in the world of beauty and fashion, collaborating with the best fashion brands, the most renowned international photographers and the most relevant magazines.
