Overview

The overall objective of ALARM (“multi-hAzard monitoring and earLy wARning systeM” (ALARM)) is to develop a prototype global multi-hazard monitoring and Early Warning System (EWS). A global multi-hazard monitoring means near-real time (NRT) and continuous global Earth observations from satellite, with the objective to generate prompt alerts of natural hazards affecting Air Traffic Management (ATM) and to provide information for enhancing situational awareness and providing resilience in crisis. This project has received funding from the SESAR Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 891467. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the SESAR JU members other than the Union.
