Agrovýzkum Rapotín Ltd. is a research organisation which was founded in 2004 as a subsidiary of the Research Institute for Cattle Breeding, Ltd., which has more than 60 years of experience in research and development (R&D). Nowadays, this company cultivates about one thousand hectares of farmland, whereas about 6 hundred hectares belong to grasslands. Animal production includes breeding of the bulls of beef breeds using the self rearing house (which is authorized for prosecution by Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic) and sheep. There is also a well-equipped accredited testing laboratory (accredited by Czech Accreditation Institute, certificate by CSN EN ISO/IES 17025:2005, newly approved 17.04.2012) that offers services of all kinds of target chemical analyses. It provides testing of quality of drinking water, soil, dangerous wastes (environment indicators), and also feeds and animal products. Currently the R&D stuff (50 workers including team leaders, researches and technicians) solve various tasks focused on a wide range of agricultural and environmental issues.
