Overview

The American Corner Yamoussoukro at INP-HB is an educational center designed to play a pioneering role in strengthening cultural ties between the people of the United States of America and the people of Côte d’Ivoire, through the promotion of the American culture of innovation and creativity, and connection to people from different backgrounds in the Belier region specifically, and West African region at large. In order to fully respond to people’s demand, in terms of education and skill development, the Corner is equipped so as to become a full-fledged in-person and online learning center. Most of the programs focus on topics such as democracy, human rights, good governance, media literacy, economic development, employability, health, society, culture and values, migration, the environment and sustainable development, to name a few. These topics are discussed during seminars, webinars, conferences, learning events and discussion clubs. During such events, participants are given the opportunity to access research materials and documentary resources developed by the U.S. Department of State [Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs - Office of American Spaces].
