Overview

To many students who attend college, their general math requirements represent an insurmountable hurdle. Only about half of students who enroll in college algebra courses are able to pass with a C or better, and this number can be even lower for nontraditional learners who are further removed from high school courses. AcerPlacer provides an alternative pathway to help these students and any others who struggle with traditional math courses by providing small class sizes of no more than eight students. This allows for closer student-teacher bonds and more personalized help than is typically possible. We have designed our course and curriculum in such a way that any student can succeed. We are so confident in this that we allow any student who fully participated in the course to come back again for free until they are comfortable and proficient enough to demonstrate their knowledge on a placement test at their local university. We offer both in-person classes and online classes with live sessions year-round.
